Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers boast an evergreen forward in Kenny Miller.
Michael O’Halloran has told The Scottish Sun that Rangers team-mate Kenny Miller has been brilliant.
The 36-year-old striker was expected to struggle on the Gers’ big return to the Scottish Premiership but he has put a number of his team-mates – most notably Martyn Waghorn – to shame with a series of evergreen outings.
With four Premiership goals in 13 top-flight appearances, Miller is Rangers’ leading goalscorer this season in a stat which perhaps tells its own story about their campaign.
Despite his advancing years, the veteran forward shows no sign of slowing down, and O’Halloran says that he has never seen anyone work as hard as his team-mate to maintain peak performance.
“Kenny’s been brilliant since I came in. Every day, I have never seen anybody work as hard as Kenny,” he said to The Scottish Sun. “It just shows that he isn’t still playing at his age for nothing. He puts in the mileage.”
Rangers are second in the Premiership and eight points behind Celtic, but their bitter Old Firm rivals have no fewer than three games in hand.
Miller has already won three titles with the Ibrox outfit in what is his third spell, but it seems unlikely that he will win a fourth – definitely not see this season and probably not next season either.
There seems to be a huge gap between both Glasgow rivals and it will take time – a lot of time – to bridge that gap.
