Michael Kim turned in a solid campaign on the PGA Tour, coming close to another victory to add to his résumé.
Kim’s lone win on tour came at the 2018 John Deere Classic. He hasn’t managed to break through again since then.
He nearly changed that at the 2025 WM Phoenix Open, finishing second behind Thomas Detry.
Across a full season, Kim played in 27 events, making the cut in 22 of them. He posted one runner-up finish and four top-10s along the way.
Michael Kim picks Oakmont as toughest course of the year

On top of his strong play in 2025, Kim also stayed active on social media, regularly sharing updates and insights that fans appreciated.
He recently wrapped up the season by sharing a message with fans, where he also named the toughest course he played all year.
Posting to X, Kim said: “Hardest course of the year: Oakmont, honourable mention: Memorial Muirfield.”
Oakmont Country Club was the venue for this year’s US Open, where J.J. Spaun captured his first major title.
Muirfield Village Golf Club held its usual spot as host of The Memorial Tournament, which saw world number one Scottie Scheffler lift the trophy.
Michael Kim calls Viktor Hovland’s putt his toughest moment of 2025
Kim left it all out there at both events, which came back-to-back during a hectic 2025 season.
He finished T44 at the Memorial with a score of eight-over, and T50 at the US Open with a score of 14-over.
His efforts weren’t limited to the PGA Tour either. He picked up his first DP World Tour win that year at the Open de France.
No surprise then that he listed that week as his favourite in his end-of-season summary, where he also mentioned Tommy Fleetwood as the best player he hadn’t played alongside yet.
But he also didn’t shy away from admitting what stung most: a putt from Viktor Hovland that cost him a spot in the Tour Championship.
