Everton defender Michael Keane is currently on international duty with England.
Michael Keane is adamant that ‘in general’ he has ‘done well’ for Everton in the Premier League this season despite their indifferent campaign.
The 26-year-old senior man, who is currently on international duty with England, is in line to start for Gareth Southgate’s side when they take on the Czech Republic in their opening match of their Euro 2020 qualifier.
Throughout the season, centre-back Keane has been a regular member of Marco Silva’s backline, who have suffered a number of bad results and constantly conceded from set-piece situations.
Ahead of England’s match on Friday, Keane stated that it’s ‘normal’ for players to have ‘a few’ bad games, but overall, he feels he has produced the goods this term.
“I think in general I’ve done well,” said Keane, as quoted by the Daily Mail. “I know I’ve had a few games where I could have done better, but I think that’s normal. I think it’s hard for any footballer to play at their best week in, week out.

The Toffees are sitting outside of the Premier League’s top 10, with results and performances over these last few months resulting in Silva coming under pressure from his own supporters and the media.
Over the course of the season, Keane has played 28 league matches for his side, helping them keep nine clean sheets [transfermarkt], including during their last encounter when they beat Chelsea 2-0 on home soil.
After the international break, the Everton supporters will be hoping their team can end the season on a high and try to finish in the top 10.
More poor performances and results will only lead to the pressure being piled on Silva once again, who was appointed manager last summer.
