Ademola Lookman has been shining for Everton in recent weeks.

Michael Keane has revealed to The Echo that Ademola Lookman is constantly making his ‘quality’ known in Everton training.

The 21-year-old dazzled in Everton’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth last weekend and provided a brilliant assist for Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goal.

It came on the back of another electric display at home to Lincoln City in the FA Cup, which resulted in Lookman scoring his first goal of the season.

The former Charlton star has had to be patient this season and Saturday’s win over the Cherries was only his second Premier League start under Marco Silva.

And centre-back Keane reckons his dynamic Toffees team-mate is clearly a ‘very talented player’.

“You can obviously see the quality he’s got in training and he’s had to be patient this year and wait for his chance and I think he’s showed what he can do,” Keane told The Echo.

“He’s showed it in glimpses through the season but he’s a very talented player. He’s only going to learn and get better. The world’s his oyster if he keeps improving.”

Lookman joined Everton two years ago for £7.5 million [The Mirror] and what a bargain that could be.

If the youngster fulfills even half of his potential then Silva has a serious gem on his hands, but the aim will be to maximise every bit of his talent.

Whether the Portuguese manager can do that, time will tell.
