The young defender has been linked with a move to Everton and he is perfect for Ronald Koeman’s side.

According to a report from the Sun, Everton are planning a £28million bid for Burnley defender Michael Keane this summer, and if the centre-back swaps the Clarets for the Toffees he could prove categorically just how wrong Manchester United were to part company with him back in 2014.
Keane was always highly rated at Old Trafford, but Louis van Gaal’s decision to cash in on the player while showing faith in the likes of Paddy McNair and Tyler Blackett baffles to this day.
While the latter pair have since left United for Sunderland and Reading respectively, Keane has quietly gone about becoming one of the best young defenders in the top flight.
He is impressing at Burnley but a move to Everton could see him make the step towards superstardom that he was once tipped to do at United.
Toffees manager Ronald Koeman will be all too aware of the importance of bringing in another quality centre-back this summer and Keane fits the bill.

He would learn from the Dutchman, improving his own game in the process, and if Everton continue to spend big and impress on the field, Keane could make a belated step into the big time, with European football a distinct possibility at Goodison Park.
There are a few exciting centre-backs out there at the moment but Keane is one of the best, and Everton would be benefitting from United’s mistake if they seal a deal – even if it does cost them a tidy sum in the process.
