Sunderland striker James Vaughan scored during his side’s 2-0 victory over Burton Albion.

Vaughan scored Sunderland’s first in their 2-0 victory at the Pirelli Stadium, when he poked the ball home from close range.
The forward released a great deal of frustration in his celebration, as he ran over towards the Sunderland fans cupping his ears.

Vaughan has taken a great deal of criticism since his move to the Stadium of Light, after he struggles to find the back of the net.
But Gray did not like seeing the Sunderland striker conduct himself in the manner that he did.
The former Black Cats man said: “I don’t know what he’s doing. He’s asking the fans what they’ve been saying. If you don’t want stick, score more goals, please.”
Vaughan’s goal for Sunderland against Burton was only his second for the club, since he arrived from Bury in the summer.

The former Everton man’s strike could hardly have been more crucial though, as it set Sunderland up for just their second win of the season.
The Black Cats have now moved off the bottom of the Championship table, with Chris Coleman finally breathing some positivity into the Wearsiders.
