Sunderland lost to Portsmouth in the Checkatrade Trophy final on Sunday.

Michael Gray has taken to Twitter to send a message to Sunderland defensive midfielder Lee Cattermole.
Cattermole failed to convert his penalty during Sunderland’s defeat to Portsmouth in the final of the Checkatrade Trophy at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday afternoon.
The match finished 2-2 after extra time, and Pompey won the penalty shootout 5-4.
The player who failed to score from the spot during the shootout for Sunderland was Cattermole.
The 31-year-old defensive midfielder is an important player for the Black Cats, and former Sunderland star Gray has sent a message to the ex-Middlesbrough and Wigan Athletic man on Twitter.

Cattermole has been on the books of Sunderland since the summer of 2009 when he joined from Wigan for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £6 million.
The 31-year-old defensive midfielder has made 24 starts and one substitute appearance in League One for Sunderland so far this season, scoring six goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
