Chris Coleman has been appointed as the next Sunderland manager.

Former Sunderland player Michael Gray has taken to social media networking site Twitter to express his view on Chris Coleman’s appointment.
Coleman left the Wales job last week after failing to guide his side to the World Cup in Russia. On Sunday, Sunderland officially confirmed his appointment.

The Black Cats sacked Simon Grayson after a poor start to the season, and Coleman has a massive job at hand to rescue the team.
Sunderland find themselves at the bottom of the Championship table, and Coleman’s first priority will be to take his team out of the drop zone.

Gray has described his appointment as a “new chapter”. Coleman did a very good job with the Wales squad, and Gray is confident that if he is given proper funds, he can turn the tide around.
Sunderland are winless in their last 14 games in all competitions, and needless to say the squad is lacking any sort of confidence.
Sunderland drew 2-2 against Millwall on Saturday. They will face Aston Villa on Tuesday in the Championship.
