And Gray feels that Wolves are already a top-flight club in waiting.
“They wouldn’t be fighting relegation,” Gray said, when asked how Wolves would compete in the Premier League right now. “They have so much ability and quality.”
Wolves have become the favourites for promotion, and their recent form has raised question marks over who is going to be able to stop them.
Wolves have already scored 40 goals in their 19 Championship matches this term, with the likes of Diogo Jota and Leo Bonatini proving to be a huge handful for opposition defenders.
Wolves have now won their last five league matches on the bounce, to cement their position at the top of the table.
Nuno’s side are next in action on the 4th December, when they take on Birmingham City at St. Andrews.
