Michael Edwards is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, and it’s fair to say he can look back on his time at Anfield with fond memories.
Edwards has done a spectacular job as the Reds’ Sporting Director over the past few years. He’s assembled a squad that have won the Premier League and the Champions League and he was directly responsible for some of the best signings the Anfield outfit have ever made.
The Sporting Director was responsible for signings such as Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker, and while his time at the club is coming to an end, he may still have one more masterclass up his sleeve.

Indeed, in recent weeks Liverpool have been linked with a move for Fulham wonder-kid Fabio Carvalho, and if the Reds can land him, that would be a real coup.
Carvalho may be available at a cut-price fee in January. He’s turned down a contract offer from Fulham and he will be allowed to leave on a Bosman this summer.
Therefore, Fulham may be inclined to cash in once January rolls around, and if the Mail are to be believed, Jorge Mendes is trying to push him in Liverpool’s direction.
Of course, signing a 19-year-old with only a handful of senior games to his name won’t be as exciting as signing someone like Salah or van Dijk, but in years to come, this could end up being seen as one of the best moves the Reds ever make.
At just 19, Carvalho is making waves. He’s already attracting interest from the likes of Real Madrid and the teenager is incredibly ambitious, even stating that he wants to win the Ballon d’Or one day.
Carvalho will be a bargain for whoever gets him and if Liverpool can win that race, it would be the perfect parting gift from Edwards to the club that he has served so well for a number of years.
