Newcastle United forward Elias Sorensen has gone out on loan to Carlisle United.

Sorensen has shone in Newcastle’s under-23 side, but he struggled on a loan spell with Blackpool last term.
Sorensen has now gone on loan to Carlisle United, with Newcastle keen to get him first-team football.
But Duff has revealed that he would also have liked to have snapped up the Newcastle front-man, if he had the chance.
“He [Sorensen] is a very good player and someone we were interested in both last January and in the summer,” Duff said, ahead of Cheltenham’s match against Carlisle.
“I think he might come into the [Carlisle] team and he’ll give them good legs and a real goal threat.”

Sorensen is yet to make his full debut for Carlisle since leaving Newcastle yet, but Steve Bruce will be hoping that he gets plenty of first-team chances over the course of the campaign.
There are still high hopes for Sorensen at Newcastle, due to the regularity that he has scored in their youth team.
Carlisle have made a mixed start to the season, as they have won two and lost two of their games so far, across all competitions.
