Speaking on Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel, former Tottenham defender Michael Dawson has been discussing Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.
Dawson was actually speaking about some of his former Spurs teammates, and he discussed Kyle Walker, stating that his pairing alongside Danny Rose was the best in the world at one point.
Walker and Rose have, of course, both since left Tottenham, and now, Dawson is of the belief that Alexander-Arnold and Robertson are the best full-back pairing on the planet.
What’s been said?
Dawson labelled the Liverpool duo the best in the world.
“Him and Danny Rose, at the time, when I was going into the punditry, I said they were the best pairing in the world, people laughed at me, I still say it. We speak about Trent and Robertson and at the moment they’re the best pairing in the world. Kyle Walker, still today, he’s an incredible player and an incredible athlete,” Dawson said.

Hard to argue
It’s hard to really make a case against Alexander-Arnold and Robertson being the best full-back pairing on the planet.
When it comes to defensive stability, Liverpool are up there with the best teams on the planet, while there are very few wide players in the world who can match Robertson and Alexander-Arnold for creativity.
Energetic, defensively brilliant and assist machines, the Reds’ defenders are everything you want from a modern full-back pairing.
Rose and Walker may have been the best full-back pairing in the world at one point, but now, Alexander-Arnold and Robertson have that distinction.
