Michael Chopra has been left stunned after hearing that Steve Bruce will stay in charge of Newcastle United, according to his post on Twitter.
Following last night’s 3-0 defeat for Newcastle in the Premier League game against Brighton and Hove Albion, Chopra urged Bruce to leave.
However, multiple reports this morning claim that Newcastle owner Mike Ashley will stick with Bruce and does not plan to relieve him of his duties.
The Shields Gazette and The Chronicle have reported that the Magpies will keep faith in the 60-year-old.
Former Newcastle player Chopra has been left stunned by the development, as shown below.
Like Chopra, a lot of Newcastle fans will be surprised that Ashley has decided to stick by Bruce.

Former Newcastle forward Micky Quinn was among those last night who urged Bruce to leave, but it seems that the Englishman will stay in charge of the first team.
The Magpies are 17th in the Premier League table at the moment with 28 points from 29 matches, just two points above third-from-bottom Fulham, who have played 30 games. Newcastle are in serious trouble.
