Michael Chopra’s 5-word reaction to Newcastle United draw with Aston Villa

Michael Chopra has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s failure to win against Aston Villa this evening.

Newcastle have played out a 1-1 draw with Villa at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.

An own goal from Ciaran Clark saw the Villans take the lead in the 86th minute, but Jamaal Lascelles restored parity for the Magpies in the fourth minute of injury time.

Former Newcastle player Chopra was following the match, and he has given his reaction to the draw on Twitter by slamming manager Steve Bruce.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at St. James’ Park on Friday evening, hosts Newcastle had 49% of the possession, took 12 shots of which three were on target, and earned two corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Villa had 51% of the possession, took 15 shots of which five were on target, and earned two corners, according to BBC Sport.

The result means that the Magpies are now 16th in the Premier League table with 28 points from 28 matches, two points above third-from-bottom Fulham.

Bruce’s side are in big danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
