The former Newcastle forward believes that Coutinho, who is on loan at Bayern Munich at the moment, and ex-Tottenham Hotspur star Bale would be open to a switch to the Magpies once the proposed takeover goes through.

As reported by The Daily Star, Newcastle are on the verge of being taken over by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund for £300 million.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Magpies are in talks with Coutinho – who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger – and his representatives.
Marca has claimed of interest from Newcastle in Wales international winger Bale.
Blockbuster signings
Chopra told The Daily Star: “You need to build things up slowly with four our five players – including a couple of superstars.
”Bale and Coutinho would be great signings and those are the type of players Newcastle supporters love to watch.”
The 36-year-old added: “Money talks when you want to sign players and ultimately you’re going to have to pay them more to attract them to the north east. But if you’ve got the money it’s not a problem.
“I don’t think Coutinho or Bale would turn down the opportunity. Newcastle are a big club and they could be part of this next chapter.
“And, if Bale wants to come back to England, Newcastle might now be the only club willing to pay his wages. With Coutinho it’s a similar story. Will he be going back to Liverpool? No I don’t think so.”
Unlikely transfers?
Coutinho and Bale are two of the best players in the world who are used to wining trophies and competing in the Champions League.
It is hard to see both the players move to Newcastle this summer, given the economic uncertainty caused by the global health crisis.
