Michael Chopra has told his followers on his Instagram story that he would ‘love’ Jose Mourinho to become Newcastle manager after he was sacked by Tottenham.
With world football already in shock following the confirmation of the proposed European Super League on Sunday, Daniel Levy took the heat in the football kitchen up a notch by sacking Mourinho on Monday.
And with the trophy-laden coach now a free-agent, ex-Newcastle man, Chopra, would like to see Mourinho walking the touchline at St James’ Park.
Steve Bruce has come under huge pressure from the Newcastle supporters this season, and whilst results have picked up of late, they are still hovering above the relegation zone.
Even if Newcastle survive, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the majority of the Toon Army faithful would want Bruce gone.
And Chopra wrote the following on his Instagram story in regards to Mourinho’s sacking: “Would love @josemourinho as manager of @nufc.”

During Mourinho’s early years in coaching, the great, Sir Bobby Robson, was his teacher.
And it would be something if he takes the reigns of a club where he is highly regarded.
Of course, it’s highly unlikely given that a certain Mike Ashley doesn’t showcase the financial ambition to bring in a coach like Mourinho.
But if a takeover happens. Then who knows?
