Michael Chopra has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s win against Everton this afternoon.
With Everton aiming to finish in the Champions League places this season, the Toffees were expected to win against Newcastle at Goodison Park in the Premier League today.
However, it was Steve Bruce’s side that picked up all three points from the encounter, courtesy of a 2-0 win.
Callum Wilson scored both the goals for the Magpies, first in the 73rd minute and then in the third minute of injury time.
Former Newcastle forward Chopra was following the match, and he has given his take on the win the Magpies.
Chopra, who is a critic of Newcastle manager Steve Bruce, believes that it was a great result for the team. However, the Englishman has asked whether the win was due to the impact made by new recruit Graeme Jones.
The former Luton Town manager, who played for Doncaster Rovers and Wigan Athletic among other clubs, was recently appointed to the coaching staff at Newcastle, who are now 16th in the Premier League table with 22 points from 21 matches.
