Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has been a regular under Marcelo Bielsa this season.

Michael Brown has claimed that Patrick Bamford is proving people wrong following criticism about his recent performances after he helped Leeds United to a 1-0 win over West Brom on Tuesday night.
Former Whites man Brown thinks that during the game against Albion, Bamford ‘justified’ why Marcelo Bielsa has been picking him at the top end of the pitch.
Whist Bamford has a healthy goal record, one thing he has been criticised for is the number of chances he misses, which at times proves to be costly for the team.
Speaking on EFL on Quest (02/10/2019 at 10:30 pm), Brown praised Bamford for his recent display and stated that it looks like he is now ‘enjoying’ his football.
“The forward line of chances he has had and the criticism, but now he has justified why Marcelo Bielsa is picking him at the top of the pitch,” Brown told EFL on Quest.

“His work rate, his hold up play and you could see him smiling at the end of his interview. You can see he’s enjoying his football. Let’s get behind you.”
Bamford has scored four goals in 10 Championship games for Leeds this season, but he has not found the back of the net in the league since the win against Stoke City in August [transfermarkt].
If Bielsa were to drop Bamford then he would still have a very good player in Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah to bring on, but he doesn’t have the qualities of bringing his own teammates into the game like Bamford does.
Either way, Leeds, who are now sitting in the automatic places, take on Millwall at the weekend and they will want to maintain their current status heading into the international break.
