Leeds United have parted company with head coach Thomas Christiansen.

Michael Bridges has stated on social networking site Twitter that he wants Marco Silva to be the new head coach of Leeds United.
Leeds are on the hunt for a new manager following the departure of Thomas Christiansen on Sunday night.
Christiansen parted company with the West Yorkshire outfit following a run of disappointing results in the Championship.

Former Leeds star Bridges has stated on Twitter that he wants ex-Watford manager Silva as the new head coach of the Whites.
The 39-year-old, who was on the books of Leeds from 1999 until 2004, has also stated that he does not want former Newcastle United manager Steve McClaren at Elland Road.
Former Leeds midfielder Andy Couzens has also given his take on the club’s decision to part company with Christiansen.

Marco Silva a good choice?
Silva is without a managerial job at the moment, having parted company with Premier League club Watford in January 2018.
The 40-year-old did a good job at Hull City during the second half of last season, as the Tigers almost avoided the drop to the Championship.
The Portuguese started his Watford tenure strongly this season, but the Hornets failed to maintain that momentum.
Although Silva does not have any experience of the Championship, given his track record in England, it would not be a bad idea of Leeds to appoint him on a short-term contract.
