Former Leeds United striker is lined up for important job.

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Millwall and Leeds United at The Den on September 16, 2017 in London, England.

Reports in Australia over the weekend claimed Leeds United are heading down under for pre-season next summer.

The World Game reported Leeds will renew rivalry with Manchester United in a friendly as part of the summer tour.

Leeds are yet to comment officially on the reports, with The Mail reporting the tour will be formally announced on Wednesday (tomorrow).

Former Leeds striker Michael Bridges has hinted he will be part of the announcement.

The ex-Whites forward posted a message on Twitter, saying he has been chosen as club ambassador ahead of the tour.

Bridges played for Leeds in the early 2000s and is the perfect man for this role.

He extended his injury hit playing career with a five year stint playing for Newcastle Jets in Australia and he has since been working as a pundit in the country.

Involving him is a logical decision and a sensible move from Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani, ahead of the money spinning tour.
