Leeds spent big to sign Patrick Bamford.

Leeds United spent £7 million this week to sign exciting striker Patrick Bamford from Middlesbrough.
Already a former Championship Player of the Year, Bamford has huge potential and Leeds hope he can go on to finally lead a promotion charge.
Bamford hopes to become a fan favourite at Leeds, and some fans have compared him to former Whites striker Michael Bridges.
Bridges responded to the comparison on Twitter last night, commenting that he is confident Bamford will score regularly for the club, and ending his message with the word ‘promotion’.
Bridges played for Leeds in the late 90s and early 2000s but his time at the club was wrecked by a succession of serious injuries.
He scored 19 goals in his first season for Leeds, but then only made a handful of appearances over the next four seasons.
Bamford will want sustained success at Leeds, and emulating Bridges’ first year for the club would not go amiss.
