Rangers boss Steven Gerrard was back in action on Saturday.

Rangers weren’t in action this weekend due to the international break, but boss Steven Gerrard put his boots on once again.
The Gers have had players in action all around the world whilst others are gearing up for next weekend’s Old Firm clash with Celtic, which Gerrard will be busy planning for too.
On Saturday though, Gerrard was in action for Liverpool in a charity match against AC Milan legends, raising money for the LFC Foundation.
Robbie Fowler and Djibril Cisse had put Liverpool 2-0 up at Anfield, but Milan roared back – just as Liverpool did against the Italians back in 2005 – with Andrea Pirlo and Giuseppe Pancaro scoring to make it 2-2.
However, the stage was set for Gerrard to grab the headlines and he did just that, scoring a last-minute winner to give Liverpool legends the 3-2 victory.
It was a classic Gerrard goal, creating a yard of space to fire home a long-range effort, showing that he’s still got it – which is no surprise given that he’s just three years on from his retirement.

After the game, Rangers coach and former Liverpool man Michael Beale took to Twitter to hail Gerrard and his goal, whilst praising the day as a whole, with everything done for a great cause.
Gers fans responded to Beale, begging him to make Gerrard come out of retirement and play for Rangers, or at least ensuring that the current Rangers midfielders watch the goal and learn to shoot from range.
