Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers sold Daniel Candeias on Monday.

Daniel Candeias is seen in action during the pre season friendly match between Rangers and Oxford United at Ibrox Stadium on July 07, 2019 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Well, Daniel Candeias has left Rangers.

The Ibrox club confirmed on Monday that the Portuguese winger has joined Turkish outfit Genclerbirligi on a two-year deal.

Candeias spent two years at Rangers and had established himself as one of Pedro Caixinha’s better signings during his ill-fated reign in Glasgow.

He also played a big role in helping the Gers to reach the Europa League proper last season.

And Michael Beale, a first-team coach at Auchenhowie, has paid tribute to the 30-year-old on Twitter.

The writing was kind of on the wall for Candeias when Gerrard went and signed Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo – a right winger – on a season-long loan.

If the Rangers boss was completely happy with the former Benfica talent then he simply wouldn’t have brought Ojo to Scotland.

He scored 14 goals in 70 competitive games for the light Blues.

Candeias of Rangers vies with Christie Elliott of Partick Thistle during the Betfred League Cup Quarter Final at Firhill Stadium on September 19, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.
