Rangers have just lost one defender to injury in Nikola Katic, and have now allowed another defender to leave in Matt Polster.
The Gers may be hunting for a new centre back to fill in for Katic, and may have to find another right back too having let Polster leave.
Rangers confirmed on Wednesday night that Polster has been sold. He’s heading back to the United States, joining MLS side New England Revolution.
Polster joined Rangers in January 2019, having impressed Steven Gerrard during a trial. Formerly of Chicago Fire, Polster was seen as a player who could offer depth at right back and in holding midfield.
However, the 27-year-old has only managed 10 appearances for Rangers, and now heads back to America in search of playing time.

That leaves Gerrard with little cover behind James Tavernier, and Rangers will either head into the market or promote youngster Nathan Patterson.
After the move was confirmed, Rangers first team coach Michael Beale took to Twitter to react to Polster’s exit, praising him as a top person and admitting he will follow his career back in America.
