Michael Beale has praised Glasgow Rangers youngster Jordan Rossiter after working with him at Liverpool.
Former Liverpool academy coach Michael Beale has revealed that Rangers fans are always asking him about Jordan Rossiter.
The 20-year-old midfielder was Rangers’ first signing of last summer’s transfer window but it has not gone exactly to plan for the former Liverpool youth.
Rossiter, signed by ex-Gers manager Mark Warburton, endured an injury-hit first season at Ibrox and is yet to make a Premiership appearance under Pedro Caixinha this season.

He is a player who Beale knows quite well, following his time working with Liverpool youngsters, and the former coach, now based in Brazil, claims he has every faith that the youngster will go on to enjoy a fine career in Glasgow.
He told The Glasgow Evening Times: “I travel up and down the country and people always ask me about Jordan and how he is getting on. He is a boy that is quite shy off the field and he likes to do his expressing on it.
“If a young boy is doing well for Rangers, like Pat Roberts did for Celtic last year, then people do sit up and notice because we do follow our young players wherever they go.
“I am really pleased he has come out of the injury and can express himself. I am keen to keep watching him and time will tell if he can fulfill his potential but I have every faith in him.”
There have been signs that Rossiter’s luck is about to change.
He impressed in the 5-0 demolition of Dunfermline in the League Cup last week, before being named in the matchday squad for Rangers’ 3-2 defeat by Hibernian at the weekend.
Midfielder Ryan Jack was sent off in that game and although Caixinha’s side have appealed, Rossiter could face Hearts on Saturday if it is unsuccessful.
