Michael Beale has told Friday’s press conference – as per the club’s YouTube – that Rangers duo John Lundstram and Alfredo Morelos are not particularly happy at the moment over a lack of game time as they warm the Ibrox bench.
Lundstram, 29, has not started a League game for Rangers since the 3-0 win over Hearts on February 4. He has made sub outings in three of the last four Premiership outings – and was missing from the 3-0 away win over Livingston.
Meanwhile, Morelos has come out of the side in the last two matches. Antonio Colak has come in in the last two league games, getting an assist against Kilmarnock and a brace last time out, during a 4-1 away win over Hibernian.
Asked about keeping so many players happy with the Rangers squad somewhat bloated, Beale admitted that both Lundstram and Morelos are not particularly impressed with being left out of the starting XI, in recent matches.
“I’m trying to add competition. John Lundstram doesn’t like being out of the team at the moment. Alfredo Morelos is not the happiest man in the world, and that’s because the other guys are scoring – that’s how competition should be.”

Beale: Rangers duo Lundstram and Morelos not happy at the moment
Lundstram and Morelos are clearly good enough to start for the Gers but this is what it should be like at big clubs. If they are not performing right to the top of their game, then Rangers now have the players to come in and impress.
That gets the best out of everyone and leads to better performances, more wins. Colak has come in and scored goals. Ryan Jack, Nico Raskin and other midfielders are doing the business. Lundstram cannot argue with being benched.
