The former Everton man took to social media after a 1-0 defeat at Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
Michael Ball vented his frustration on Twitter after Everton were beaten by a ‘very average’ Manchester United side for the second time this season.
Anthony Martial netted a second-half winner as a dull encounter was settled by fine margins.
But Everton never looked like troubling Man United, despite playing like the home team and attacking for the majority of the encounter.
That prompted the following reaction from Ball:
Everton have been one of the Premier League’s major disappointments this season and there is understandable fan discord when it comes to Roberto Martinez’s position.
The Spaniard, very reminiscent of Brendan Rodgers in this regard, is usually extremely arrogant and defiant (a synonym for ignorance in this case) in the face of pressure.
But his face painted 1000 pictures after the 1-0 loss to Manchester United.
Martinez could see just how poor Everton really were and all those watching could see just how disappointed the Toffees boss really was at full-time.
