Michael Ball says he doesn’t expect West Ham to finish in the top half

Everton eased to a win over West Ham at the weekend, winning 2-0 at Goodison Park.

It was one of West Ham’s worst performances of the season, overshadowing what had until then been a decent start.

Former Everton defender Michael Ball believes based on that showing, West Ham will finish in the bottom half of the table.

He took issue with the Hammers being talked up as being more likely to finish inside the top six than Everton.

To be fair, based on West Ham’s performance at Goodison Park, they certainly didn’t look like a team capable of challenging for one of the top positions in the Premier League.

The performance was a real off day, and West Ham have had far better results, including an impressive home win over Manchester United.

The Hammers currently sit in 11th place, while Everton are below them in 15th.
