Michael Ball reacts to Everton’s deadline-day activity

Everton could not sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, but the Toffees did land Alex Iwobi from Arsenal.

Michael Ball has taken to Twitter to give his take on Everton’s reported failure to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.

According to BBC Sport, Arsenal and Everton were interested in signing Zaha from Premier League rivals Palace.

It has been reported that the Gunners and the Toffees had bids for the former Manchester United winger turned down by the Eagles.

Everton, though, did sign a winger on transfer day, landing Nigeria international Alex Iwobi from Arsenal for an initial fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £28 million.

Former Everton star Ball has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the Toffees signing Iwobi, and to the Merseyside outfit failing to bring Zaha to Goodison Park.
