Everton suffered a humiliating defeat to Atalanta on Thursday night.

Former Everton ace Michael Ball has claimed on Twitter that the Toffees need a “huge shake-up” if they are to have any kind of success this season.
Ball would have been watching on in horror on Thursday night as Everton were torn apart by Serie A outfit Atalanta in the Europa League, which saw the Italians win 5-1 despite being away from home at Goodison Park.

It sees interim manager David Unsworth lose his fourth of six games in charge, after already suffering defeats to Chelsea, Leicester and Lyon, with the Toffees yet to replace the sacking of Ronald Koeman.
Posting on his Twitter account on Friday morning, 38, claimed there are “no friends in football or business” and urged Everton to undergo a complete reshuffle from “top to bottom”.
Everton remain in a lowly 16th place after Koeman left the Merseyside outfit in the relegation zone following a 5-2 defeat to Arsenal in his last match in charge.
Unsworth has since avoided defeat in the Toffees’ last two outings, beating Watford and drawing away to Crystal Palace. Now, he will look to make that three games in a row this weekend.
Everton travel down south to face Southampton on Sunday afternoon, and will take positives from their last five outings against the Saints. Winning three of those, the Toffees have lost just once and will be looking to make it a fourth win at St. Mary’s Stadium.
