According to BBC Sport, former Newcastle United and West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is the leading contender for the Everton managerial role.
Former Everton defender Ball has given his take on the prospects of Villas-Boas and Allardyce taking charge of the Toffees.
Ball wrote in The Liverpool Echo: “There’s talk of Andre Villas-Boas but imagine him getting out his tactics board – most of the squad wouldn’t be able to grasp it!
“And I’m not actually convinced the squad has the type of players that would suit the way Sam Allardyce likes to play. But whoever the club want then they have to go and get him NOW!”
Everton need to get their managerial situation sorted, as that is clearly affecting the team’s performances on the pitch.
Results and performances under Unsworth have not been great, and it would be a mistake from the board to keep faith in him until the end of the season.
