Micah Richards has shown encouragement to Kalvin Phillips on Instagram following the Leeds United midfielder’s post after the defeat to Everton.
Leeds suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Everton at Elland Road in the Premier League on Wednesday evening. It followed successive wins against Newcastle United and Leicester City in the league.
Phillips has taken to Instagram to express his disappointment at the result, and the Leeds midfielder’s teammate Ian Poveda has responded to it, and so has former Manchester City and Aston Villa right-back Micah Richards, who was at the Whites as a youth player.
Bouncing back
Everton were the better side in the first half at Elland Road, but Leeds did try to make a comeback after the break.
The Whites have had an inconsistent season, and losing to Everton after winning against Leicester and Newcastle did not really come as a surprise.
Leeds will be looking to bounce back from the defeat to Everton with victory over Crystal Palace at Elland Road in the Premier League on Monday evening.
One should not be surprised if Marcelo Bielsa’s side register a comfortable win against Palace.
