Micah Richards has predicted in The Daily Mail that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will win the Golden Boot, but he believes that Chelsea star Timo Werner will give him a run for his money.

The former Manchester City and Aston Villa right-back believes that Kane will be the top scorer in the Premier League this season.

However, Richards believes that Chelsea striker Werner, who joined Frank Lampard’s side from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window, is also a serious contender for the Golden Boot.

Richards told The Daily Mail: “Harry Kane. He will want to reassert himself as the main man. He wasn’t too far off last season, when he missed so many games through injury. With a clear run he will come out on top, though I do expect Timo Werner to run him close.”

Harry Kane for Golden Boot?

Kane is one of the best strikers in the Premier League, and if he is fit, then he will certainly be among the players who could win the Golden Boot.

The England international is a proven goalscorer and the main source of goals at Spurs.

If chances are created for the 27-year-old, then he will put them away, just as he has done for the past several seasons.

According to WhoScored, Kane scored 18 goals in the league last season, while he found the net 17 times in the league in 2018-19 and bagged 30 goals in the Premier League in 2017-18.
