Giannis Antetokounmpo going to the Miami Heat is the big story, but there were a lot of moving parts in the biggest trade of the summer.

The Greek Freak was always going to command a mammoth trade package.

The Bucks get Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakučionis, three first-round picks (No. 13 in 2026, 2031, 2033), a 2030 first-round pick swap and a 2033 second-round pick, while also sending Bobby Portis to Miami.

Jaquez was playing a pick-up game when the news broke, and his reaction to getting sent to Milwaukee was caught on camera.

Jaime Jaquez Jr reacts to being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks

Jaquez has played his entire NBA career in Miami. A California native, he is used to the sunny southern states, so being hauled off to Wisconsin represents a significant change for the 25-year-old.

He was playing a pick-up game when the news broke, and his instant reaction was captured and posted to X.

It’s hard to make out everything he said in the clip, but his first words tell the story of how this news will have hit.

He said: ‘Damn bro.’

Jaquez averaged just over 15 points last season, along with 5.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists on decent efficiency — respectable numbers from the Mexican-American wing.

Whatever his feelings about the change of scenery, he will be aiming to improve on those numbers in a more prominent role for the new-look Bucks.
