Pedro Caixinha has been sacked by Rangers, now questions are being asked about Carlos Pena and Eduardo Herrera’s futures.

This week the Gers suffered a cup semi-final defeat to Motherwell and slipped eight points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
With the club’s fortunes getting worse and not better, the Rangers board decided to act.
There was a high turnover of players in the summer under Caixinha, and already questions are being asked in Mexico regarding two players from the country who the managed brought in.
Caixinha managed in Mexico successfully with Santos Laguna, and decided to sign attackers Eduardo Herrera and Carlos Pena.

Mexican players have had mixed success in Europe, and the column notes that many talented players have struggled in particularly when their coach was fired.
Javier Hernandez’s slide at Manchester United after Sir Alex Ferguson retired is one instance, and Gio dos Santos’ struggles at Tottenham after Juande Ramos is another.
