Mesut Özil has taken to Twitter to send a six-word message to his ex-Arsenal teammate Olivier Giroud, after the striker’s heroics for Chelsea.
The France international managed to score all four goals in the Blues’ 4-0 win over Sevilla last night in the Champions League, making history in the process.
You can see what Özil wrote to the 34-year-old below.
In scoring a hat-trick – let alone four goals – Giroud became the oldest player in Champions League history to achieve the feat at 34 years and 63 days, according to Opta.
The former Montpellier striker also became the oldest player to score a hat-trick in the European Cup since Ferenc Puskás in September 1965, who was aged 38 years and 173 days.
We presume that Arsenal fans were watching on with envy as Giroud delivered a goalscoring masterclass last night.

It was Arsene Wenger who sold the centre-forward to Chelsea for £18 million in January 2018.
Despite struggling for game-time under Frank Lampard this term, his four-goal haul now means he’s outscoring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this season.

Giroud has six goals in all competitions, whereas the Gabon international has four.
With Mikel Arteta demanding his team cross the ball more in his press conference yesterday, the Blues hitman would probably be an ideal option for the Gunners right now.
