Quoted by the Daily Mail, Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has claimed youngster Alex Iwobi reminds him of a mix between Jay-Jay Okocha and Edgar Davids.
The youngster has risen to prominence over the last year after making his debut against Barcelona last season.
Since then he has established himself as a first-team regular with a series of impressive performances.
He has continued his rise this season, playing a key role in Arsene Wenger’s team as they have started the season strongly.

There are hopes he can become a big player for Arsenal in the years to come and his teammate has certainly offered a glowing assessment of his abilities.
“Alex reminds me of a mixture of him (Okocha) and Edgar Davids,” the Daily Mail quotes him saying.
“He’s really strong on the ball, also defensively, but he’s good in front of goal too. He’s developing really well and if he continues the way he’s been playing for the whole season, he will enhance his game.”

It remains to be seen if Iwobi does go on to become as good as either of those players.
At this moment in time, it is easy to see him becoming a star, with his performances belying his young years.
Playing alongside stars such as Alexis Sanchez and Ozil is only likely to help and he will hope he can keep his place to ensure he does reach his potential.
