Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has made some bold decisions at the Emirates Stadium, and it isn’t really working for him right now.

The Gunners are struggling in the Premier League, scoring just four times in their last 10 Premier League games whilst also crashing out of the Carabao Cup with a 4-1 home defeat to Manchester City.

Arteta isn’t enjoying his first full season as Arsenal boss, and some may point to decisions regarding players he has left out of his squad.

His biggest decision came over Mesut Ozil, as he left the German out of Arsenal’s Premier League and Europa League squads, seemingly ending his Arsenal career months before his contract expires.

Ozil isn’t the only one; Arteta also jettisoned midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, sending him on loan to Hertha Berlin having grown frustrated with the Frenchman.

Guendouzi is a more progressive player than many in the Arsenal midfield right now, so having him off in Germany is far from ideal.

Now, Ozil has been asked who the most underrated player he has featured with is, and he went with Guendouzi.

Ozil even added a prediction that the Gunners outcast will be a ‘big’ player one day – whether that’s at Arsenal or elsewhere.
