Mesut Ozil has lauded Aaron Ramsey on Twitter by telling Arsenal supporters that he is a ‘great player’ and a ‘fantastic teammate’.

The snubbed Arsenal playmaker, who has been left out of their 25-man squad, was conducting a question and answer session on his social platform.

One of the questions that was put to the German was his thoughts on his fellow left-footed counterpart, Ramsey.

Ozil issued this response about the technically-gifted Welshman:

Last summer, Ramsey’s contract at Arsenal expired and he signed a £400k-a-week contract with Italian giants Juventus [BBC Sport].

Whilst he initially struggled for game time with the Serie A giants, he is now sharing the field of play a lot more regularly with star-studded names such as Cristiano Ronaldo.

Nonetheless, when Ramsey’s contract was running out at the Emirates, it was known that he was going to leave at the end of the season on a free.

But unfortunately for him, injury prevented him from getting a proper send-off, as he is now hoping to make a real name for himself with the Old Lady.
