Arsenal left it late to beat Southampton on the weekend.

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has admitted that he and his team-mates were “lucky” to beat Southampton on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners were moments away from being booed off the pitch at the Emirates as a 1-1 draw looked on the cards.
Both goals came in the first half as Laurent Koscielny cancelled out Petr Cech’s unfortunate own goal earlier on.

But Arsenal were thrown a huge slice of luck in the dying stages when Jose Fonte was adjudged to have fouled Olivier Giroud in the penalty area.
And Santi Cazorla stepped up to fire home a controversial winner from the spot and spare the blushes of Arsene Wenger’s side somewhat.

The North Londoners, who had four points from nine before kickoff, were far from their best against the Saints, and Ozil has posted on Twitter what many Arsenal fans were thinking after the game.
It was slightly lucky, to be fair, but Arsenal can’t afford to rely on such fortune again come Tuesday.
Wenger’s troops visit Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League opener knowing that the French giants are likely to put up a much better fight than the South-Coast outfit.
