Rodney Marsh has praised Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso on Twitter and has compared him to Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

The former Fulham and Manchester City forward was impressed by the performance of Lo Celso during Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Royal Antwerp at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

Marsh believes that the 24-year-old midfielder was playing like his Argentine compatriot and Barcelona forward Messi.

The Englishman has also praised Tottenham forward Son Heung-min.

How did Giovani Lo Celso play for Tottenham Hotspur?

Lo Celso is one of the better players at Tottenham, and his performance against Antwerp was very encouraging.

The 24-year-old midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes.

The Argentina international could have scored a wondergoal in the first half, found the back of the net in the second period, worked hard, and was creative.

According to WhoScored, Lo Celso took four shots, played four key passes, had a pass accuracy of 82.6%, took 72 touches, attempted six dribbles, made three tackles and one interception, and put in four crosses.
