Leeds United loanee Ilan Meslier is open to a permanent move.

Leeds United goalkeeper Ilan Meslier said this past week he is keen on a permanent move to the club.
While keen to see how the next few months pan out, Meslier is glad he made the loan switch from Lorient.
He told Ouest-France, translated by Get French Football News: “If I play in the Championship, and the club activates the option to buy, I would stay without a problem. If I play less, we will think about it. But the best thing would be to continue at Leeds.”
While a conditional commitment as he is a back-up to Kiko Casilla, all it takes is for injury or suspension for him to get his chance.
He has had a good start in under-23 games, saving a penalty in a game last week.
His desire to stay is good for Leeds, and the Whites should try to force his hand in January.
Leeds have five loan players, and the limit for loanees in a matchday squad is four.

This has meant there has had to be one left out entirely, with winger Jack Clarke usually the odd one out.
In the process Leeds are denied having an exciting winger on the bench, capable of changing a game as he proved last season.
Meslier is a necessary pick. Leeds need a back-up goalkeeper on the bench, and he is their best one.
If Leeds can get him signed up on a permanent deal in January, then it will give the Whites more flexibility in their team selections in the second half of the season.
It makes a lot of sense, and given Meslier’s openness to a move, Leeds should prioritise this, as it could pay off if it allows them the chance to get Clarke more involved.
