Paul Merson has said on Sky Sports News (5:20pm, September 25, 2021) that he wants a season ticket at Leeds United, adding that they will not get relegated from the Premier League despite the latest defeat to West Ham United.

Leeds suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of West Ham at Elland Road in the Premier League this past weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side actually took the lead, but they conceded twice thereafter.

Former Arsenal and Aston Villa star Merson was following the match for Sky Sports, and he believes that Leeds will not go down to the Championship.

The Sky Sports pundit has added that he wants a season ticket at Leeds.

Merson told Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling on Sky Sports News (5:20pm, September 25, 2021): “I would be shocked if they get relegated. I would be absolutely shocked.”

The pundit added: “I wouldn’t want them to go down anyway. I love watching them. It’s a pleasure watching them today.

“As I said to you, I have put my name on the list for a season ticket at Leeds. I mean, seriously they are a team to watch.”

Should Leeds United be worried?

Leeds are playing well, like they did against Newcastle United and West Ham, but the West Yorkshire club are simply unable to win matches.

The Whites are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with just three points from six matches.

Now, Leeds showed last season just how good they are, and they have some brilliant players.

It’s not just happening for Leeds at the moment, but there is no need to panic.
