Merson predicts exactly where Leeds will finish in league table this season

Paul Merson predicted on Sky Sports News (2:42pm, March 6, 2021) that Leeds United will finish 11th in the Premier League table this season.

Leeds are 11th in the league table at the moment with 35 points from 26 matches.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are doing extremely well at the moment and have been better than many would have expected them.

The Whites will face West Ham United, Chelsea, Fulham, Sheffield United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United in their upcoming games in the Premier League.

Former Arsenal and Aston Villa star Merson believes that Leeds will finish 11th in the standings this season.

Merson said about Leeds on Sky Sports News (2:42pm, March 6, 2021): “I would say about looking at them fixtures they are 11th now, I would probably say they would stay 11th probably.”

European places for Leeds United?

The way the Premier League season is panning out, there is a good chance that Leeds could end up in the Europa League places.

After all, the Whites are 12 points off the final Champions League spot and are only eight points behind defending champions Liverpool, who have played a game more.

Finishing in the top half of the table in their first season back in the Premier League would be a success, but perhaps Leeds should aim higher given where they are at the moment.
