Paul Merson believes that Arsenal star Hector Bellerin is the best full-back in the Premier League, but what about Kyle Walker and Danny Rose?

Paul Merson said on the Gillette Soccer Special show on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, January 2, 2016) that Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is the best full-back in the Premier League.

The former Arsenal attacker also suggested that after the 21-year-old right-back, Tottenham Hotspur duo Kyle Walker and Danny Rose are the two best full-backs in the English top flight at the moment.

Walker plays as a right-back, while fellow England international Rose operates as a left-back.

Arsenal's Hector Bellerin speaks to the linesman before taking a throw in

“Bellerin is the best full-back in the Premier League for me by a distance, and then, for me, it’s the two Tottenham players,” said Merson on the Gillette Soccer Special show on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, January 2, 2016).

Bellerin is a truly superb footballer and has established himself as a key player in the Arsenal team.

The Spain international is only 21 years of age, and if he keeps on improving like he has over the past two or so seasons, then he could become a world-class footballer in the coming years.

But is Bellerin better than Walker or Rose? What do the stats since the start of the 2015-16 season say?

Stats do not always tell the entire story, but it is clear that Bellerin, Walker and Rose are all very good footballers.
