A round-up of the day’s most interesting stories surrounding Liverpool and Everton.

Liverpool are considering a sensational move for La Liga superstar Ousmane Dembele, according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb.
Barcelona are said to be keen on bringing in Atletico Madrid talisman Antoine Griezmann on a permanent deal, meaning the Catalan giant’s would likely have to balance the books at the club, as the French international wouldn’t come cheap.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly “obsessed” with Dembele, and has been ever since his arrival at Barcelona, and he is looking into the possibility of bringing the 21-year-old to Anfield on-loan this summer.

In other news, midfielder Emre Can has miraculously recovered from a back injury dating back to March, and has travelled with the squad to Marbella to begin the final preparations for the Champions League final in Kiev, against defending champions Real Madrid.
Can is now in contention to play in Liverpool’s biggest game of the season, despite his lengthy stint away from the pitch – although his fitness is still being assessed day-to-day, according to Liverpool’s official website.
Liverpool have also reportedly planned their Champions League victory parade – should they manage to overcome the odds and topple Zinedine Zidane’s outfit, according to Sky Sports News.
Proposals for the celebrations have been drawn up early because of the logistics involved; which are said to have been complicated by Liverpool’s hosting of two festivals on the same weekend.
The Reds have planned for an open-top coach to travel along the streets of Liverpool on May 27th, the day after the final.

Across the city, Everton have some interesting stories breaking today:
The first being that supposed want-away Wayne Rooney may have now changed his mind about leaving Goodison Park for MLS outfit DC United, after the axing of Sam Allardyce, according to The Sun.
The 32-year-old now intends to find out whether he can return to playing regular football for the Blues under the regime of the new manager, after a barren run under Allardyce.
The former England manager is said to have told Rooney he would struggle for playing time again next term, before being sacked on Wednesday.

In other Blues news, new Director of Football Marcel Brands has claimed Everton have been after his services for the last two years – and hinted that the club wanted his services before appointing Steve Walsh.
“Everton first contacted me two years ago via Mino Raiola and since that moment I maintained contact with the owner and chairman,” he told Dutch television channel NOS (17/05/2018)
Brands was named as the new Director of Football the same day that both Walsh and Allardyce departed the club, showing that Everton really mean business this window.

Elsewhere, there’s also potential for PSV talisman Luuk de Jong to join the recently departed Marcel Brands in Merseyside this summer, after the Dutch talisman joked about following the Director of Football to the Premier League outfit, in quotes by Voetbal Primeur, allegedly winking at the interviewer.
The 27-year-old has also claimed that he’s received a number of offers from different clubs this summer, suggesting he may be on the move.
Having scored an impressive 80 goals in 155 games for the Dutch outfit, the striker would instantly bolster the Toffees’ attacking threat for next season, and given the chance they should make the move happen.
