Former Wolves player and now a popular football pundit Mel Eves is pleased with Aston Villa’s overall transfer activity.
It has been a busy summer for the Villans, with Steve Bruce bringing in new faces to add depth and quality to the side.
Aston Villa finished 13th in the Championship last season, but expectations are high this time around.
Eves notes that Villa had completed most of their business early in the summer, and had a quiet deadline day.
Having signed players like John Terry, Chris Samba, Glenn Whelan, Ahmed Elmohamady and Robert Snodgrass, Villa have assembled a strong squad, and Eves suggests that Bruce now needs to mould his squad into that team capable of challenging for promotion.
He adds that Bruce must find his best starting line-up, and stick with it to achieve consistency, especially away from home.
Villa have made a stuttering start to their 2017/18 Championship campaign, winning just once in their opening five games.

All now remains is for the Villa manager to mould his squad into a team that are going to challenge for promotion.
