A young basketball prodigy is being named the ‘Wemby stopper’ after clips of him went viral.
Jeremy Gohier is 15 and stands at 7’6″ tall, which is almost two feet more than the average American at his age.
The high school star has been going viral for a series of clips of him in action, and he may well be the only person who can stop Victor Wembanyama.

7’6″ is a daunting prospect to face on the court, even in the NBA, so imagine what it is like for a teenager.
In a clip that went viral on social media, Gohier can be seen sporting the same haircut once sported by Brazilian soccer star Ronaldo, also known as R9.
Gohier towers over all of his opponent in the clip, recording slam dunk after slam dunk while also giving those who try and stop him.
His performances have seen him represent Canada on the world stage and he is set to compete for them at the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup in Istanbul, Turkey.
There, he will be the tallest player by five inches, with Chinese youngster Boxin Zhao a miniscule 7’1″.

It is no surprise to hear that these viral clips have led to everyone wondering when we will see Gohier play in the NBA but there will be some time to wait.
Players can’t officially be drafted in until they turn 19, meaning that it will be 2030 before we realistically see him in action.
There is every chance he may choose to go down the college basketball route too, but one thing for certaIn is that he is almost certainly going to be a handful on the court.
