The USMNT is home to soccer stars from all around the globe, but their wives and partners are also just as well-known.

For example, captain Tim Ream and his wife Kristen Sapienza met while they were student athletes studying at St Louis University and Gio Reyna, Matt Turner and others have been in their relationships for many years.

Leeds United midfielder Brenden Aaronson is no different and he married his childhood sweetheart Milana D’Ambra, but their wedding came in dramatic fashion as it took place hours before the World Cup preparations began.

How far can the USA realistically go in this tournament? 🏆

Who is Milana D’Ambra Aaronson?

Milana D’Ambra Aaronson is the wife of USMNT star Brenden, and the daughter of Don D’Ambra, who is the men’s soccer head coach at Saint Joseph’s University.

D’Ambra also played soccer for SJEB Rush (winning the State Cup) and Division I collegiate soccer for Temple University, only for injuries hampered her career and force her to retire early.

When did Brenden Aaronson marry Milana D’Ambra Aaronson?

The pair had been together ever since they were teenagers at a Sweet 16 party, and got engaged in 2024 when the soccer star proposed.

They had both been planning for a big wedding only for the midfielder to receive the news that he would be playing for the USA at the World Cup this summer.

He was given permission to leave their training camp to get married on 29 May, before departing at 2:30 a.m. on his wedding night to return to the squad in time for their friendly game against Senegal on 31 May.
