Kevin Long is expected to come into the Burnley side to replace James Tarkowski

Burnley host Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow evening, with Sean Dyche’s side looking to continue their impressive form.
The Clarets have been resilient at the back this season, with James Tarkowski playing a major part in proceedings, but the defender will miss tomorrow’s game through both suspension and injury.
Kevin Long will come into the team and has been backed to impress by Ben Mee, who will play alongside him.
Mee told the club’s official website: “It will be good for him (Long) to come in and pick up where he left off against Watford and Stoke City.

“It’s a credit to the lads who come in and put the performances in, everyone is ready to come in and step up when called upon.”
Long has been a Burnley player for almost eight years, but has spent a significant part of that time out on loan.
This season he has had to be patient for opportunities in the Premier League, although he has impressed when called upon as he helped Burnley to keep clean sheets in successive games against Watford and Stoke City recently.

Up against the considerable threat of Harry Kane, Long will have to be at his very best if Burnley are to keep another clean sheet against Tottenham but Mee is certainly confident that his team-mate will cope well.
A victory over Tottenham would represent another highlight in what has been a very impressive season for Burnley so far, and Long is determined to play his part.
